My name is Karan Thanvi. I'm a passionate system engineer with ~1.5 years experience in this domain, focused on building and operating APIs and Servers. Despite of all these, I'm still (and will always be) a "learner" who is a programming enthusiast.
Apart from being a server guy, I know about web development and application development(which I'm still learning).
Other than the techie stuff, I'm a FUNNY guy who likes to roam around different places.
I believe in sir Mark Twain's quote: It's not about the size of the dog in the fight...it's about the size of the fight in the dog!
I've good understanding about system infrastructure including OS level kernel architecture. I also have good knowledge of servers such as Apache, Payara/Glassfish, etc. I also know about (linux)OS Security and event management.
Expert: C, C++, HTML-CSS, JS, Bash, MySQL. Intermediate: JavaEE-Batchlet, Python, PyQt, Php, MongoDB. Beginner: Android, Tizen, angularJS, node-JS, Cassandra. Tools: IBM QRadar, Splunk, JMeter, Postman.
I've a, IJRITCC research paper published for a smart recommendation system algorithm. Check it here!. Apart from this, I've knowledge of different (optimized) algorithms useful for competetive programming.
I work for Rakuten Pay(R-Pay) under the Mobile Payment Section, Rakuten FinTech Service. I work at the server side of the Rakuten Pay (mobile payment application) which includes API development for the App developers for card payment using QR code & Barcode. I develop batch processes for Rpay business to generate/monitor daily payment data and GMS details. Apart for these developments, I take care of all the Server Operations(which includes server deployments, DB handling, SSL certificate management, API access passthroughs for using Rakuten internal services, etc.) and Infrastructure management(creating servers domains, nodes, instances, clusters, etc. and managing the test environment for continuos testing) for R-Pay.
Worked as part of the ATS team working on Security Intelligence suite of products. Daily work included supporting WW Customers who are using SI suite of products like Qradar SIEM, QRM, QVM, QRM etc. Part of the work was also to work with Development team in creating fixes etc. Also had been guiding Customers, Business Partners on better usage and utilization of the features present in the SI suite of Products.
Worked as an intern for developing a Tizen OS application used for securely saving Passwords(in encrypted form) of different social media accounts, bank accounts, office server accounts and other confidential keys.
Developed a cross platform application for local vendors to increase their business and for customers to reduce their efforts in buying local products. Awarded with funds to launch the product from Calsoft.
Decrypted the network and wrote server code for different types.
Algorithmic coding competition to test understanding of algorithms and deep knowledge of C language.
Coded algorithmic solutions for real-time problems.Awarded by Calsoft.
The task was to find the bugs present in the given algorithms and fix them to get correct result.
Coded algorithmic solutions for real-time problems. Consecutive winner for 3 years!
Algorithmic coding competition to test understanding of algorithms.
In this competition had to solve (real-time)logical puzzles provided by industry people.
